Istanbul is set to host two major international cycling events. The fourth edition of the Tour of İstanbul, a UCI 2.1 category race, will feature 16 teams from eight countries. The competition includes one WorldTeam, Lotto-Intermarché, which features defending champion Mauro Cuylits, along with five ProTeams and ten Continental teams. The race will span four stages across various regions, including Silivri, Şile, the Historical Peninsula, and Beykoz.

Additionally, the third annual L’Étape Türkiye by Tour de France will take place in September. Organized in collaboration with Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.), the event is expected to draw approximately 2,500 athletes from 50 different countries. The program includes a free 20-kilometer public ride through the Historical Peninsula on September 13, followed by the main race starting from Beykoz Sports Forest on September 20.
