Istibanjsko Zdravovio International Folklore Festival opens in Vinica

The 41st edition of the Istibanjsko Zdravovio International Folklore Festival has commenced in Istibanja, Vinica. The event serves as a significant cultural gathering for the region, focusing on the preservation and affirmation of tradition and cultural heritage.

Mayor Mitko Kostadinovski officially opened the festival, joined by MP Daniela Hristova and the artistic director of FA Kitka, Stojko Mitkovski. The opening night featured performances from ensembles from Macedonia and the surrounding region, showcasing traditional dances, songs, and music.

The festival includes participating folklore ensembles from approximately twenty countries across Europe and the world. It is held under the patronage of the Municipality of Vinica and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
