The Istria County Assembly and the City Council of Pula have formally signed a Conclusion outlining measures to improve the operations of the Kaštijun County Waste Management Center. The agreement was signed by Valter Flego, President of the Istria County Assembly, and Valter Boljunčić, President of the Pula City Council.

The measures prioritize reducing unpleasant odors and enhancing the control of waste arriving at the facility. The agreement also establishes a framework for more transparent monitoring of the plant's operations, with success being measured by tangible field results.
