Istria County invests in sports infrastructure and transport

Istria County has completed a significant investment in local sports support, including the delivery of eight new Opel Zafira passenger vans to various sports communities. The investment, totaling 312,800 euros, was fully funded by the county budget. The recipient communities include Pula, Buje, Umag, Rovinj, Labin, Pazina, Poreč, and Medulin.

In addition to transport, the region is focusing on facility upgrades. In Pula, the renovation of the Mirna – Pattinaggio Sports Center has been completed with an investment exceeding 530,000 euros. The works included the renovation of locker rooms, sanitary facilities, heating and ventilation systems, and the sports hall floor, as well as improvements to outdoor facilities like the roller rink and basketball court. These upgrades aim to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities and enhance training conditions for local clubs.
