Istria police arrest Swiss and Russian nationals for child pornography suspicions

Police in Istria, Croatia, have arrested a 58-year-old Swiss national and a 30-year-old Russian national on suspicion of child pornography exploitation.

The first incident occurred at a tourist facility where guests observed the Swiss man secretly filming nude children with a mobile phone. The suspect attempted to flee, resulting in minor injuries from a fall, before being apprehended. During the subsequent investigation, police recovered material suspected of being related to the crime.

A second incident took place at a different tourist facility near a swimming pool, where security personnel intercepted the Russian national while he was filming children with his phone. A search of his belongings yielded compromising material. Both men have been transferred to custody following the completion of criminal investigations.
