The encounter took place at the ‘Anghel Iordănescu’ stadium during a SuperLiga fixture that resulted in a 1-2 victory for Petrolul. Stan, a 75-year-old figure in Romanian football who previously supported Rapid Bucharest for several decades, shared the image on his Instagram account.

Istvan Kovacs, 41, is a prominent Romanian referee with experience in major international competitions, including the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.
