Isuzu debuts facelifted D-Max and MU-X with new bi-turbo engine
Isuzu has launched facelifted versions of its D-Max utility vehicle and MU-X SUV in Thailand. The updated models feature minor visual revisions, including redesigned front fascias, new grille inserts, and updated rear diffusers.
A significant mechanical update is the introduction of a new 2.2-litre Ddi Maxforce Bi-Turbo diesel engine for high-specification trims. This engine produces 150kW of power at 3,600rpm and 500Nm of torque between 1,600 and 2,600rpm. It utilizes a high-pressure 250MPa 10-hole injector system and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Compared to the existing single-turbo 2.2-litre engine, which delivers 120kW and 400Nm, the new Bi-Turbo variant offers a 25% increase in both power and torque. The vehicles are produced in Thailand for both local and international markets, including Australia.
