Isuzu FA Vase: Wellington and Liskeard eliminated in qualifying round

In the first qualifying round of the Isuzu FA Vase, both Wellington AFC and Liskeard Athletic suffered defeats.

Wellington AFC was knocked out by Ilminster Town following a 1-0 loss. Despite a competitive performance from the young Wellington side, Josh Phillips scored the decisive goal for Ilminster six minutes into the second half. Wellington narrowly missed opportunities to equalize during injury time.

Liskeard Athletic fell to Brixham with a 2-1 scoreline at Lux Park. Liskeard initially took the lead through a Harry Jeffery penalty in the 29th minute, but Kieran Parkin equalized for Brixham before the hour mark. The match turned when Jeffery received a second yellow card in the 79th minute. Brixham secured the victory in stoppage time through a goal by substitute Jaden Maslen.
