It-Ex aims to boost Italian trade fairs in global markets

Raffaello Napoleone, president of It-Ex, stated that the association is working to strengthen the global impact of major Italian international trade fairs. A key objective is establishing an agreement with Aefi, the International Association of Exhibition Organisers, to bolster the presence of Italian fairs worldwide.

Napoleone highlighted that support from the Italian government, specifically the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Maeci) and the Ministry of Industry and Made in Italy, is helping to attract top global buyers to exhibition sites. He noted that these efforts are particularly important for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and micro-enterprises, which possess high manufacturing and creative quality but often lack the individual resources to navigate international markets alone.

By aggregating through trade fairs and partnering with companies that have established commercial and communication structures, these smaller entities can effectively present their products abroad. Additionally, Napoleone mentioned that the Italian government is currently engaging in political actions in Argentina and Brazil regarding the Mercosur agreement to support coordinated international expansion for Italian companies.
