It Takes Two to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in October 2026

Electronic Arts and Hazelight Studios have announced that the award-winning co-op action-adventure game ‘It Takes Two’ will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 in mid-October 2026. The release is scheduled for October 15 or 16, depending on the region.

The Switch 2 version will feature technical enhancements including 1080p resolution in docked mode, 60 frames per second, improved lighting, high-resolution textures, and faster loading speeds. The game will support cross-play between Nintendo Switch 2, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Additionally, a ‘Friend’s Pass’ will allow players to invite others to join the cooperative experience for free.

In certain regions, players who already own the original Nintendo Switch version may be eligible for a free upgrade to the Switch 2 version via the eShop or in-game interface, provided they use the same Nintendo account. However, this free upgrade option is reportedly not available in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, or Taiwan. The game is priced at $39.99.
