Natuvion and NTT Data study: AI drives IT transformations
A 2026 IT transformation study conducted by Natuvion and NTT Data Business Solutions, surveying over 1,100 international executives and IT specialists, reveals significant challenges in digital migrations. The findings indicate that only one in four migrations proceeds according to the original plan, with 71 percent of companies needing to adjust their migration methodology during the project lifecycle.
Artificial intelligence has become a central component of these processes. Approximately 76 percent of companies are actively using AI during their transformation, and 60 percent cite the introduction of modern technologies like AI as a primary driver for undergoing IT transformations. AI is being utilized for various stages, including technical analysis and implementation (63 percent), data quality and migration (60 percent), and strategic planning (56 percent).
Management objectives for these transformations primarily focus on increasing innovation capabilities (46 percent) and enhancing organizational flexibility (42 percent). Key success factors identified by respondents include transformation expertise, data transparency, and team continuity.
