ITA Airways announces new employee-designed uniforms

ITA Airways has announced a project to create new uniforms for its onboard and ground staff, scheduled for implementation in the second half of 2027. The initiative is notable for being designed by the company's own employees rather than an external fashion house.

The design is led by Valentina Santini, an ITA Airways flight attendant with expertise in fashion. The development process involved a collaborative approach, gathering input and suggestions from pilots, ground staff, and other company employees to ensure the designs reflect the needs of those who wear them daily.

Initiated by CEO and General Manager Joerg Eberhart, the project aims to leverage internal talent and creativity. The new uniforms, which will be used in Rome, Milan, and Catania, are intended to balance elegance, functionality, comfort, and safety while meeting aviation operational standards.
