ITA Airways to launch direct Rome–Caracas flights in 2027
ITA Airways has announced the launch of a new direct flight service between Rome Fiumicino and Caracas, scheduled to begin on 30 March 2027. The route will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays using Airbus A330-900 aircraft.
The service follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between ITA Airways CEO Joerg Eberhart and the Ambassador of Venezuela to Italy, Maria Elena Uzzo Giannattasio. The agreement was developed through cooperation between aviation authorities and diplomatic networks, including the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Italy.
The new air link is intended to strengthen bilateral ties, facilitate tourism, and support trade and cultural exchanges between Italy and Venezuela by providing a direct connection that avoids intermediate stops in other countries.
