ITA All-American Championships begin with women's tennis pre-qualifying

The ITA All-American Championships commenced with pre-qualifying rounds for women's singles and doubles at Cary Tennis Park. The tournament serves as a pathway for athletes to qualify for the 2026 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.

University of Georgia players secured four victories on the opening day. In singles, Bella Payne, Patricija Paukstyte, and Nadia Lagaev advanced, while Ava Rodriguez was eliminated in three sets. In doubles, the pairing of Payne and Paukstyte earned a win against Charlotte.

University of North Carolina athletes also saw success in the pre-qualifying stage. Anna Frey, Aya Manning, Theadora Rabman, and Maddy Zampardo all recorded singles victories to advance to the round of 128. The Tar Heels' doubles teams faced losses in their opening matches.
