ITA Mountain Regional women's tennis tournament begins

The ITA Mountain Regional women's tennis tournament has commenced, with competition shifting to the University of Utah indoor facility due to inclement weather.

Colorado State athletes have seen mixed results in the opening rounds. Sophomore Leyla Tozin successfully qualified for the main draw after winning two matches. However, third seed Diana Lizarazo lost in the first round of qualifying to Idaho's Victoria Cajigas, and Logan Voeks fell to Nevada's Mia Woo in a third-set tiebreaker. Dylan Voeks also lost a tiebreaker to Utah's Lily Stohl.

Air Force Academy athletes also began their campaign with singles and doubles play. Stephanie Marcheret secured a victory against BYU's Bella Lewis, and Tia Christopulos won a three-set match against Montana's Kate Prichard. Other Air Force players, including Tana Christopulos and Maya Michalski, faced losses in their respective singles matches. The Falcons also faced defeats in doubles competition against Colorado pairings.
