Itabuna inaugurates inclusive public square with accessible equipment

The city of Itabuna has inaugurated the Doutor Celso Fontes Lima Square in the Góes Calmon neighborhood. Following reconstruction and requalification works, the space features accessible playground equipment designed to promote inclusion for children, families, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

Mayor Augusto Castro noted that the project specifically aims to accommodate neurodivergent children, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, integrating the area with the specialized TEA Space. The new infrastructure includes a playground for various age groups, a pet place for animals, concrete flooring, benches, and parking. This marks the 27th public equipment project completed or requalified by the current administration.
