Itabuna inaugurates new Feira do Califórnia market

The new Feira do Califórnia has been officially delivered in Itabuna, Bahia, following the completion of revitalization works. The project was a partnership between the Bahia Government, through CONDER, and the local municipality, involving an investment of approximately R$ 10 million.

The new facility features 197 stalls for various sectors, including produce, cereals, butcher shops, fishmongers, and snack bars. The infrastructure includes thermal roofing, a drainage system, LED lighting, and sustainable features such as solar panels for common areas and a rainwater harvesting system. Additionally, the site is equipped with a 158,000-liter reservoir, a gas network for snack bars, video monitoring, and individual water and energy meters.

Occupancy of the stalls will occur gradually, with approximately 40 merchants already having signed commitment terms. The project also included improvements to the surrounding area, such as paving, landscaping, and lighting enhancements.
