Itabuna launches Municipal Education Plan for 2027–2037

The City of Itabuna has launched the development process for the Municipal Education Plan (PME) covering the decade from 2027 to 2037. The kickoff event, held at the UNEX University Center auditorium, brought together professionals from public and private education networks, municipal council leaders, the Municipal Education Forum, and the South Coast Territorial Education Nucleus (NTE-5).

The new plan aims to establish guidelines, goals, and priorities for the municipality's education system, including various teaching modalities, social inclusion, and student training. The process emphasizes community participation, seeking input from teachers, students, families, and managers to address local educational needs.

Additionally, officials announced that the city has secured a temporary location for the Itabuna campus of the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Bahia (IFBA) through a 24-month agreement with Editora e Distribuidora Educacional S/A, pending the completion of its permanent campus.
