Itabuna Municipal Chamber sets election-period restrictions

The Itabuna Municipal Chamber has issued Resolution No. 001/2026, establishing operational guidelines and conduct restrictions for the 2026 General Elections period. To ensure compliance with federal electoral laws and maintain principles of legality and impartiality, plenary sessions and technical commission deliberations will be suspended starting September 10.

Legislative activities are scheduled to resume on October 26, 2026, following the second round of elections. However, administrative functions will continue as usual, with departments such as procurement, human resources, and security remaining operational.

The resolution strictly prohibits the use of public resources—including buildings, vehicles, equipment, and official communication channels—for partisan campaign activities. It also bans the display of campaign materials like banners or posters within the Chamber's common areas.
