iTAC integrates AI knowledge platform with worker assistance
iTAC, in collaboration with OPTIMUM datamanagement solutions and electronics manufacturer Limtronik, is introducing an advanced AI-driven worker assistance system. The development, to be showcased at the EFX from October 6 to 8, 2026, integrates the camera-based assistant ‘Der Schlaue Klaus’ with the iTAC. MOM. Suite and the iTAC. CATi AI knowledge platform.
While the existing ‘Der Schlaue Klaus’ system uses cameras to guide employees through assembly processes and verify component placement and polarity, the new integration adds production context. By connecting the assistant to the Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) system, workers can use natural language to query information regarding production history, material batches, and process parameters. This integration allows employees to retrieve knowledge faster, analyze disruptions, and make informed decisions on the shop floor.
