Itaituba police detain homicide suspect

Police in Itaituba, Pará, have apprehended a 43-year-old suspect, Itamar Malheiro dos Santos, in connection with the homicide of Adenilson da Silva Lima. The victim was found on Sunday morning in the Bom Remédio neighborhood.

Preliminary investigations suggest the crime may be linked to drug trafficking in the area. The suspect, known locally as “Pita,” was located by intelligence teams and transported to the Civil Police station for further questioning.
