Itajaí real estate market sees 209% growth in 2026

The real estate market in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, has experienced significant expansion, with property sales reaching R$ 3.11 billion between January and August 2026. This represents a 209.2% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.

Data from the DWV real estate platform indicates a sharp acceleration in monthly activity. In August 2026, sales reached R$ 750.5 million, a 719.4% increase over August 2025. This growth is occurring alongside limited supply; for instance, Itajaí held only 3,219 properties in stock in July, representing approximately 1.09% of the surveyed population.

In the same period, neighboring municipalities also showed strong performance, with Itapema recording R$ 2.43 billion in sales, Porto Belo R$ 2.35 billion, and Balneário Camboriú R$ 1.71 billion.

Additionally, the luxury segment in the region is gaining international recognition. The 'O Tempo' development by Müze, located in Praia Brava, Itajaí, won six categories at the Americas Property Awards 2026-2027. The project features a home resort concept integrated with nature and includes 83 residential apartments and 48 suites.
