Italia 1 to air ‘Le Iene presentano: Inside’ special on human nature

The television spin-off ‘Le Iene presentano: Inside’, created by Davide Parenti, will air its second episode titled ‘Cattivi si nasce?’ (Are we born evil?) on Sunday, September 20, on Italia 1. Hosted by Nina Palmieri and written by Nicola Barraco, the special explores the complexities of human malice.

The program examines various forms of malevolence, including intentional harm, cold indifference, reactive cruelty stemming from pain or frustration, and behavior driven by ignorance. To provide a scientific perspective, behavioral genetics expert Walter Tucci, who has academic experience at Oxford, Boston University, and MIT, will discuss how epigenetics and hereditary predispositions may influence character and behavior.
