Italia 1 to broadcast ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’

The 2008 adventure and science fiction film ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’, directed by Eric Brevig, is scheduled to broadcast on Italia 1 on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 21:20.

Inspired by the novel by Jules Verne, the film follows vulcanologist Trevor Anderson, played by Brendan Fraser. While investigating notes left by his brother Max, who disappeared a decade earlier in Iceland, Trevor and his nephew Sean travel to Iceland. Accompanied by a mountain guide named Hannah, the group becomes trapped in a volcano and discovers a subterranean world containing prehistoric creatures and giant plants.
