Italia Moore appointed LSU New Orleans Spirit Coordinator and Dance Coach

Italia Moore has been hired as the Spirit Coordinator and Dance Coach for the LSU New Orleans Privateers. Moore brings nearly a decade of dance and coaching experience, including a stint on the New Orleans Pelicans dance team (2023‑2024) and coaching roles at Ursuline Academy and the Riverdale Lassies Dance Team. She was the founding member and first captain of the Loyola Competitive Dance Team and holds a degree in Public Relations and Music Industry with a minor in Dance from Loyola University New Orleans.

The appointment comes as the University of New Orleans rejoined the LSU system and rebranded as LSU New Orleans in July 2026, merging the LSU purple and gold with New Orleans spirit. The Privateers will continue competing in the Southland Conference, and the new spirit program aims to strengthen training, growth, competition, and campus energy.
