Italian agencies launch new observatories for healthcare and regional data

Agenas has established an Observatory for palliative care and pain therapy to address the increasing demand for specialized assistance due to an aging population and the rise of chronic diseases. The body aims to ensure uniform, high-quality services across Italy, ranging from home care to hospices. Its responsibilities include analyzing and implementing enhancement plans, monitoring service networks in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, and producing annual reports to support institutional decision-making.

In Brescia, the OsservaBrescia territorial observatory has launched a new website to provide public access to local monitoring and analysis. Promoted by Intesa Sanpaolo and coordinated by Percorsi di Secondo Welfare, the portal uses a data-driven approach to track social, economic, and demographic changes. The platform features over 100 indicators aligned with the 2030 Agenda, offering open-access data to promote transparency and shared responsibility among public administrations, universities, and the third sector.
