Italian AI forums examine human centrality and financial competence

Two recent Italian events highlighted the societal impact of artificial intelligence. In Termoli, the Centro Spes of the Diocese of Termoli‑Larino hosted a two‑evening program called “Magnifica Humanitas,” inspired by Pope Leo XIV’s magisterial teachings. The series combined talks on communication, education, work and economics with hands‑on workshops such as sculpture, dance and cooking, aiming to place the person at the centre of AI‑driven change.

Separately, Antonella Massari, Secretary General of the Italian Private Banking Association, warned that competence and critical thinking are essential to steer the AI revolution in finance. She cited recent market volatility after a new investment platform launch and ethical disputes between major AI developers, urging the creation of an ethical oversight body to guide AI use in the sector.
