Italian Air Force conducts command change at Potenza Picena radar squadron

Captain Giorgio De Simone has assumed command of the 114th Remote Radar Squadron of the Italian Air Force in Potenza Picena. He succeeds Major Luciano Speranza, who led the unit for over three years.

The change of command ceremony was presided over by Brigadier General Giacomo Ghiglierio, commander of the 4th Telecommunications and Air Defense Systems and Flight Assistance Brigade. The event was attended by various military and civil authorities from the Macerata province, including local mayors and representatives from the Italian Red Cross.

During the ceremony, Major Speranza received a commendation for his professional performance and his efforts in social initiatives aimed at strengthening the relationship between the Air Force and the local community.
