Italian airports celebrate major anniversaries in Forlì and Florence

Several Italian airports are marking significant milestones. The Luigi Ridolfi Airport in Forlì is celebrating 90 years since its inauguration on September 19, 1936. To commemorate the anniversary, the Ronco district is organizing a guided historical walk on September 20, led by local historian Gabriele Zelli. This event serves as a precursor to an official public celebration hosted by the airport management on September 27.

Meanwhile, the Amerigo Vespucci Airport in Florence is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The milestone marks the resumption of regular line services on September 15, 1986, with flights to Milan. Since then, the airport has expanded its international reach to cities such as Paris, London, and Munich. Following a growth trend that saw passenger numbers reach three million in 2023, Toscana Aeroporti has set a target of 4 million passengers for the year 2026.
