Italian Architects Push for Extension and Better Insurance Terms

The Order of Architects of Rome (OAR) held a joint working table with representatives of Inarcassa, engineers, and other professionals on 23 July 2026. Participants discussed the deteriorating health‑insurance conditions, debt‑handling procedures, and the treatment of engineering firms, calling for clearer information, training and more balanced policies to improve the relationship between Inarcassa and the professional community.

Meanwhile, the Regional Federation of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators of Campania urged the Italian government to extend the deadline for completing projects financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). They warned that the 31 August 2026 cut‑off could leave many nearly finished works unfinished, and asked for urgent institutional dialogue to protect investments and ensure the final technical‑administrative steps are completed.

Both groups seek regulatory adjustments and deadline extensions to safeguard ongoing construction and professional interests across Italy.
