Italian art exhibitions feature Renaissance and modern masters
Major art exhibitions have opened in Italy, highlighting different eras of artistic achievement. At Palazzo Te in Mantova, the exhibition ‘Inventare la natura’ explores the relationship between nature, art, and science during the 16th century. Featuring works by Leonardo, Arcimboldo, and Caravaggio, the display uses seven thematic sections to examine how nature was studied and represented through art and technology. The exhibition is scheduled to run until January 10, 2027.
Meanwhile, at the Reggia di Venaria, the ‘Atelier dei Moderni’ exhibition showcases significant 20th-century painting. The exhibition features approximately sixty works from masters such as Matisse, Picasso, Braque, Delaunay, and Bacon. The collection traces the evolution of modern styles, from the deconstruction of objects to the exploration of color, space, and the human figure.
