Italian art exhibitions feature Vajont landscape and Giuliano Vangi drawings

Two art exhibitions are currently being featured in Italy. In Susegana, photographer Santina Pompeo presents ‘Memory Foam’ at the Arte & Cultura space. Running from September 17 through October 17, 2026, the exhibition explores the Vajont landscape by contrasting contemporary photographs with archival images. The project examines the physical and emotional traces left by the Monte Toc landslide and the subsequent wave that caused 1,917 deaths in 1963.

In Falconara Marittima, the exhibition ‘GIULIANO VANGI. Il disegno luogo della forma’ has been extended until September 27, 2026, due to high demand. Hosted by the CART (Collezione d’arte contemporanea), the show focuses on the drawings of the late artist Giuliano Vangi, emphasizing his exploration of the human figure and existential themes through simplified forms and modern interpretation.
