Italian art exhibitions highlight Divisionism and Mimmo Rotella

Art exhibitions in Italy are highlighting significant movements and artists. In Biella, a dual-venue exhibition at Palazzo Gromo Losa and Palazzo Ferrero explores the evolution of Divisionism. Running from November 28 to April 4, the showcase features over 150 works by artists such as Giovanni Segantini, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, and Umberto Boccioni. The exhibition traces how the movement’s focus on color decomposition and light paved the way for radical 20th-century avant-garde experimentation.

In Genoa, the Palazzo Ducale is hosting the final days of a major retrospective dedicated to Mimmo Rotella. The exhibition, curated by Alberto Fiz in collaboration with the Mimmo Rotella Foundation, includes over 100 works spanning sixty years of the artist's career. It examines Rotella’s impact on the relationship between painting, photography, and advertising, specifically focusing on his 'décollage' technique and his interrogation of modern visual imagery.
