Italian artisan groups welcome new fire maintenance rules

Italian artisan confederations, including CNA, Confartigianato, and Casartigiani, have expressed satisfaction with a new government decree regarding fire prevention maintenance technicians. The decree, issued by the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Labor, introduces transitional provisions to prevent service disruptions during the implementation of a new qualification system.

Under these rules, technicians who submit a valid application for requirement evaluation by September 25, 2026, may continue their maintenance and control activities until their specific procedure is completed, and no later than March 31, 2027. This measure aims to ensure the continuity of essential fire safety services while the sector transitions to the new qualification framework.
