Italian assessor Cristina Coletti case closed: no intimidation found
A preliminary investigation into paper‑boat leaflets bearing the Palestinian flag that were placed on the gate of assessor Cristina Coletti’s home was closed by judge Giovanni Solinas, who ordered the file archived. The prosecutor found no evidence of intimidation, noting that the leaflets had been produced by two 13‑ and 14‑year‑old girls who participated in a pro‑Palestine initiative. Coletti’s lawyer Giacomo Forlani said the investigation confirmed that no concrete intimidation occurred.
The incident, which sparked political debate in the region, was initially reported as a possible intimidation act against the assessor. After the judicial review, the case was dismissed without charges.
