Italian athletes achieve success in sailing, swimming, and running

Various Italian athletes and sporting events are drawing attention across the country. In Messina, 15-year-old Alice Chiolo of the Circolo Velico Isola di Pantelleria secured first place in the Under 16 ILCA 4 class during the 6th round of the ILCA Zonal Championship.

In Sardinia, world record-holding Paralympic swimmer Luca Da Prato participated in the ‘Mare di tutti per tutti’ project. Following his recent successes in Turkey and Alghero, Da Prato engaged in inclusive sailing activities with the Circolo del Mare in Fertilia and met with the Italian Union to Fight Muscular Dystrophy (UILDM).

Additionally, Alghero is hosting the IX Alghero Half Marathon as part of the Sport & Beach Italian Tour. Olympic race walker Antonella Palmisano will serve as the godmother for the event, which aims to promote sports tourism in the region through various competitive and non-competitive running distances.
