Italian athletes Carmassi, Dragas claim podiums at Brugnera meeting, Milan World Cup
Giada Carmassi, the Italian 100 m hurdles specialist, matched her own meeting record of 13.15 seconds at the 22nd edition of the regional athletics meeting in Brugnera, Friuli‑Venezia Giulia. The competition also saw Veronika Drljacic win the women’s 400 m in 52.11 seconds and several strong performances from Slovenian and Kenyan athletes in middle‑ and long‑distance events.
Tara Dragas earned her first World Cup podium by finishing third in the individual all‑around at the gymnastics World Cup held at the Unipol Forum in Milan. She scored 112.700 points, behind teammate Sofia Raffaeli (113.050) and Germany’s Darja Varfolomeev (119.400). Dragas praised her performance despite challenging conditions, marking a milestone in her career.
