Italian athletes feature in European rugby and Serie A

In rugby, several Italian players are making significant appearances in foreign leagues this weekend. In France's Top 14, Matteo Nocera and Marco Riccioni are making their debuts, with Nocera appearing on the bench for Lyon against La Rochelle and Riccioni as a reserve for Perpignan. Paolo Garbisi will start for Perpignan, while Rodrigo Miotti starts for Montpellier. In the English Premiership, Ross Vintcent returns from injury. Additionally, in the French ProD2, Pablo Dicheff started for Colomiers in their match against Grenoble.

In Italian football, Genoa faces a critical period for manager Daniele De Rossi. Despite receiving official assurances of support from club president Dan Sucu following a meeting in Bucharest, the team's performance remains a concern. Having earned only one point in five matches, the upcoming fixture against Fiorentina is viewed as a decisive test for De Rossi's position on the bench.
