Italian athletes secure medals at Skiroll and Para-cycling World Championships
Italian athletes achieved several podium finishes across various international and national sporting events. At the Skiroll World Championships in Madona, Latvia, Anna Maria Ghiddi and Maria Eugenia Boccardi secured a silver medal in the senior women's team sprint, finishing behind the Norwegian pair Raghnhild Aarekol and Synnoeve Kjosavik.
In the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in Huntsville, Alabama, Italy earned three medals on the first day of competition: silver medals for Luca Mazzone (MH2) and Roberta Amadeo (WH2), and a bronze for Ana Maria Vitelaru (WH5). National team coach Pierpaolo Addesi noted that high temperatures impacted some athlete performances.
Additionally, Atletica Brescia 1950 athletes saw success at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, with Elena Carraro winning silver in the 100m hurdles and Alice Mangione taking bronze in the 400m. The club is set to participate in the Trofeo Sandro and Gabre Calvesi in Sanpolino.
