Italian authorities arrest suspects in violent assaults and weapons seizures

Authorities in Italy have conducted separate law enforcement operations involving weapons and violence. In Cologno Monzese, Carabinieri arrested four individuals of South American origin, aged between 18 and 41, following a violent assault. The suspects face charges including attempted murder, serious injury, robbery, and illegal possession of firearms. The investigation, which utilized surveillance footage and searches, led to the seizure of a Beretta pistol with an illegible serial number, ammunition, a machete, a knife, and a blank pistol. Two victims, aged 18 and 19, were injured by gunfire and blades but survived.

In a separate incident in Isernia, Carabinieri intercepted a vehicle containing four local youths, including one minor, during a roadside check. The occupants were reported for possession of illegal fireworks.
