Italian authorities increase security and law enforcement presence in Cremona and Ospitaletto

In Cremona, a 73-year-old man was reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office after being caught with two knives at the Palace of Justice. During routine security checks on September 2, a private security metal scanner detected the weapons, which measured 19 and 11 centimeters. The individual was unable to justify possession of the items, leading to their seizure by the Carabinieri.

In Ospitaletto, Brescia, the Carabinieri of Chiari will increase their presence to support local police in combating crime. Following a request from Mayor Laura Trecani to Prefect Andrea Polichetti, patrols will be deployed every Tuesday and Friday, specifically during evening and night hours. This measure aims to prevent illegal activities and social disorder following recent incidents, such as a nighttime brawl in the town center. The effectiveness of this increased surveillance will be reviewed in mid-September.
