Italian authorities order closures of nightlife venues following violence

Authorities in Italy have ordered the temporary closure of two nightlife venues following incidents involving violence and public safety concerns.

In Milano Marittima, the Ravenna Police Commissioner ordered the Mambo beach club to close for three days. The decision, made under Article 100 of the Consolidated Law on Public Safety (Tulps), follows a series of fights and disturbances throughout the summer that resulted in injuries and police intervention. The closure affects the venue during a peak weekend period.

In Casamicciola Terme, the Naples Police Commissioner has ordered a 15-day closure of the Frontemare nightclub. This immediate measure follows a stabbing on the night of August 22, where a 20-year-old man was injured by a blade. Due to the severity of the incident, the authorities bypassed the standard ten-day period for the owners to submit defensive memos, making the suspension effective immediately.
