Italian banks and UniCredit Foundation announce new student scholarships

Several Italian financial institutions have announced new scholarship and research funding initiatives to support students and academics.

Bper has launched its 60th edition of scholarship awards, offering 300 grants of 500 euros each. These are intended for meritorious students in the 2025-2026 school year who have completed secondary education. Eligibility requires Italian residency, a relationship with Bper, and a 2026 family Isee below 30,000 euros. Applications are open until November 30, 2026.

BCC Carate Brianza e Treviglio is also providing educational awards, including 60 prizes of 500 euros for high school graduates and 80 scholarships of 1,000 euros for university students. These are available to members, their children, and employees. The application deadline is October 30, 2026.

Additionally, the UniCredit Foundation has committed over 1.9 million euros toward four academic initiatives. These programs include PhD scholarships in economics, the Top-Up Fanno & Foscolo Fellowships, the Modigliani Research Grant, and the 13th Economic Job Market Best Paper Award, organized in collaboration with the European Economic Association. These funds aim to support researchers and students in the fields of economics and finance across Europe.
