Italian basketball stars Arado, Gorini, Guzzoni and swimmer Morini named to national squads

Arianna Arado, Giorgia Gorini and Martina Guzzoni have been called up by the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP) for national team camps ahead of upcoming international commitments. Arado joins the Green Team Femminile training in Capri and Naples until 8 June and will face Spain in friendly tests on 6 and 7 June. Gorini and Guzzoni are part of the U20 squad at the Roseto degli Abruzzi camp, preparing for the European U20 Championship in Lithuania in July.

Swimmer Arianna Morini of Carpi was selected among 32 athletes for the Italian national team to compete at the Mediterranean Cup 2026 in Novi Sad, Serbia, from 19–21 June. The squad will convene for a training camp at the Federal Center in Ostia on 17 June before departing for Serbia.

Both selections reflect the Italian federations’ emphasis on developing young talent for forthcoming continental competitions.
