Italian Beach Rugby 2026: Sand Bulls win opening stage, The Rockets and Sabbie Mobili clinch titles

The sixth edition of the Italian Beach Rugby tournament opened on 23 May at the Fiamme Oro beach venue, where the Sand Bulls secured the first‑stage victory after a tightly contested round of ten matches involving five teams. More than 300 spectators attended, and the podium was decided on total tries scored, placing the Crazy Crabs second and the Navy Gators third.

The competition concluded at the Beach Arena in San Benedetto del Tronto, where the men's final saw the Lazio‑based The Rockets defeat Padova Beach 7‑4 to repeat their 2025 triumph. In the women's final, Sabbie Mobili earned their third consecutive runner‑up finish, beating the Spavalde 4‑3. The event highlighted strong participation from multiple Lazio squads and featured youth demonstrations organized by the Italian Rugby Federation.
