Odissea returns to the top of the Italian box office

Christopher Nolan’s film “Odissea” has reclaimed the top spot at the Italian box office for the weekend of August 13–16. After five weeks in theaters, the film earned approximately 2.28 million euros over the three-day period, bringing its total earnings to over 48.5 million euros.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day” fell to second place, earning roughly 2.22 million euros during the same weekend. The Marvel title has reached a total of approximately 31.7 million euros in three weeks, notably surpassing the lifetime earnings of “Avengers: Endgame” in the region.

The gap between the two leading films remains narrow, with less than 60,000 euros separating them. The weekend also saw a strong performance for the new entry “La fine di Oak Street,” directed by David Robert Mitchell, which debuted in third place with over 600,000 euros earned in its first five days.

Overall, the Italian box office reported a record-breaking August, with total earnings from August 13–16 reaching over 6 million euros, marking one of the strongest holiday weekend performances since 2015.
