Italian bridges in Macerata and Ascoli Piceno advance toward completion

Load‑testing of the new Piediripa bridge on provincial road 34 linking Macerata and Corridonia has been completed, confirming compliance with safety standards. Province president Alessandro Gentilucci said the structure will soon be handed over to the public and a dedicated cycling‑pedestrian path will be added.

In Ascoli Piceno, work proceeds on the replacement of the Tronto‑river crossing between Ascoli Piceno and Ancarano. The project, financed at €15.7 million and driven by the special reconstruction authority, aims to reopen the bridge to two‑way traffic by the end of July as part of the post‑earthquake rebuilding effort.
