La7 unveils 2026/2027 TV schedule, highlights record audience gains

Italian broadcaster La7 presented its 2026/2027 programming slate, confirming veteran hosts such as Enrico Mentana, Lilli Gruber, Corrado Augias, Giovanni Floris, Aldo Cazzullo and Corrado Formigoni. The line‑up includes long‑running news and talk shows, new productions like the series *M – Il Figlio del Secolo* and documentaries such as *P2 – L’Ombra sulle Stragi*, plus the launch of the on‑demand platform La7 Play.

Urbano Cairo, president of Cairo Communication and RCS MediaGroup, said the network has achieved its best ratings ever, with a 5.0 % increase in total daytime share and a 6.6 % rise in prime‑time, reaching about 1.3 million viewers. La7 now ranks as the third‑most‑watched network in prime time and serves roughly 36.5 million Italians across TV and digital.

Cairo also responded to criticism that the channel had acted against Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, noting that a call between Donald Trump and La7 journalist Daniele Compatangelo “actually helped” the premier. He emphasized La7’s editorial independence, stating the channel “never makes concessions to any government.”
