Italian business leaders address technology and industry evolution in Milan
At the XVII National Forum of Young Entrepreneurs in Milan, Confcommercio President Carlo Sangalli emphasized that while the real economy will rely on algorithms, technology must serve humanity rather than the reverse. Sangalli highlighted the role of collective bargaining in managing radical changes in the labor market, noting that Confcommercio's contractual systems affect approximately 5 million workers and cover over 90% of Italian tertiary businesses.
Separately, the Multimedia Audiovisual Forum (MAF) 2026 in Milan addressed the evolving audiovisual landscape. The event highlighted the integration of artificial intelligence in production, the shift toward multi-platform distribution, and the convergence of traditional broadcasting with digital platforms. During the forum, HD Forum Italia announced its evolution into the Media Innovation Forum Italia to better represent the interconnected media ecosystem.
