Meanwhile, the 43rd edition of the Cersaie ceramics exhibition has opened in Bologna. Despite challenges such as rising energy costs and restrictive European Union policies, the Italian ceramics sector remains a global leader in technology and design. The industry, centered in the Sassuolo, Modena, and Reggio Emilia districts, generates approximately 7.5 billion euros in national turnover, with 5 billion euros coming from exports and supporting roughly 40,000 jobs.
